Depop Hunt! 🛍️
Trying to find items in my shein cart on Depop!
I do not like shopping on shein, I feel buyers remorse/guilt when I do 😓 I don’t do it often but this time I decided to see if I can find any items that I liked in my cart, on Depop or at least similar items! I found a lot of good stuff actually
Drop your Depop so I can check it out 😎
Ever found yourself with a full cart on a fast-fashion site, then that familiar wave of guilt washes over you? I totally get it! That's exactly why I started my own Depop cart challenge – trying to find those exact styles, or at least really close alternatives, right on Depop. It’s not just about saving money; it’s about making more conscious choices and finding unique pieces that stand out. So, how do you tackle your own Depop hunt when you have a specific vision in mind, almost like a 'virtual cart' you're trying to replicate? Here are my go-to tips for finding those hidden gems: Get Specific with Your Search Terms: Don't just type in 'sweater.' If you're looking for say, that 'dark blue sweater with gold moons' or a 'striped sweater' like the one I found, use those exact details! If you saw a 'ribbed v-neck top' or a 'pink ribbed button-front' on another site, search for those descriptive phrases. Be creative with synonyms too – 'leopard print jacket' could also be 'animal print coat.' The more specific you are, the better your chances. Master the Filters: Depop's filters are your best friends. Once you have a search term, narrow it down by size, color, brand (if you're looking for something like an 'Aeropostale tote bag'), price range, and condition. This helps cut through the noise and brings you closer to your ideal item. I often filter by 'new with tags' or 'excellent condition' if I'm looking for something almost pristine. Utilize 'Save' and 'Follow': Think of the 'save' button as your personal Depop cart! If you spot an item you love but aren't ready to buy, save it. This keeps it organized and easy to revisit. Even better, if a shop has items that match your style, hit 'follow.' You'll see their new listings pop up in your feed, making it easier to discover similar treasures without constant searching. Explore Similar Items & Hashtags: When you find an item you like, scroll down to see Depop's suggestions for 'similar items.' Also, pay attention to the hashtags sellers use – like #depopfinds, #depop, #shein, #haul, #shopwithme. Clicking on these can lead you down a rabbit hole of amazing finds you might not have discovered otherwise. Patience is a Virtue (and It Pays Off!): Seriously, finding that perfect 'leopard print jacket' or a specific style of 'dark blue sweater' can take time. Depop's inventory is constantly changing, so if you don't find it today, it might pop up next week. Make it a routine to check in, and don't give up! The thrill of finding that exact item, or an even better alternative, is incredibly rewarding. This whole process has completely changed how I think about shopping. It’s not just about replicating a fast-fashion haul; it’s about discovering unique pieces, supporting circular fashion, and feeling really good about my purchases. Happy hunting!
