Mini heart turkey burgers 😍🍔
Yummyyyy!!
Use a heart cookie cutter for cute easy hearts ♥️
You guys, I totally stumbled upon the cutest meal idea ever, and it's surprisingly easy to pull off! My kids (and honestly, my inner child!) went absolutely wild for these heart-shaped mini burgers and, the star of the show for me, the most adorable heart-shaped fries you can imagine! I mean, who knew a simple cookie cutter could bring so much joy to dinner time? Making the heart-shaped fries is probably the most fun part. I usually grab a couple of good-sized Russet potatoes because they get lovely and crispy. First, give them a good scrub – I usually leave the skin on for extra fiber and crunch, but you can peel them if you prefer. Then, slice them into about 1/4-inch thick rounds or slightly thicker oblongs, making them easier to cut. This is where your trusty heart-shaped cookie cutter comes in! Mine is about 2 inches, perfect for mini fries. Just press it firmly into each potato slice. Don't worry about the scraps; you can fry those up as little potato bites or save them for another dish. Once you have your heart shapes, I like to give them a quick rinse in cold water to remove some of the starch, which helps with crispiness, then pat them completely dry. For seasoning, a simple sprinkle of salt, pepper, and a little garlic powder works wonders. Sometimes, I even add a pinch of paprika for color. Now, for cooking methods! Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the seasoned heart fries with a tablespoon or two of olive oil, spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy. Air Frying: This is my go-to for super crispy results! Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Toss the fries with a tiny bit of oil and seasonings, then air fry in batches for 12-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until perfectly golden and crunchy. Deep Frying: For that classic diner taste, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pot. Carefully fry the hearts in small batches for 3-5 minutes until golden. Make sure not to overcrowd the pot! Drain on a paper towel-lined plate. While your heart-shaped fries are cooking, you can assemble the rest of your super cute meal. For the mini heart burgers, I just use a smaller heart cookie cutter on cooked burger patties – turkey or beef works great! And guess what? You can do the same with your cheese slices! Just press the cutter into cheddar or provolone for adorable heart-shaped cheese to melt on top. But wait, there's more heart! You can even cut your burger buns into heart shapes. For a truly themed presentation, I also used small cookie cutters to make heart-shaped lettuce pieces. If you're feeling extra fancy, you can carefully slice tomatoes, onions, and pickles into approximate heart shapes or just arrange them artfully. The whole plate becomes a work of art! Imagine a plate with these mini heart burgers, complete with heart-shaped buns and cheese, alongside those golden heart fries, and adorable heart-shaped lettuce. It's a meal that's almost too cute to eat, but trust me, it's too delicious not to! This isn't just for special occasions like Valentine's Day; it's a fantastic way to make any weeknight meal feel a little more special and fun. Plus, getting the kids involved in cutting out the shapes is a great activity. Give it a try, and prepare for some serious "awws" and happy tummies!
