Sailor 🌙 moon!

Stepping into my first cosplay convention as Sailor Moon was an experience I'll never forget! The energy was incredible, and seeing so many passionate fans and amazing cosplayers truly made it magical. If you're thinking about attending your first con, especially in cosplay, I've got some tips based on my awesome debut! First off, preparation is key. I learned quickly that comfy shoes are non-negotiable – you’ll be on your feet for hours! Also, make sure to pack a small emergency kit for your costume. A mini sewing kit, safety pins, and some strong adhesive can save the day if anything goes awry with your Sailor Moon outfit. Trust me, you don't want a wardrobe malfunction when you're trying to perfect a 'Moon Tiara Magic' pose! One of the highlights was definitely getting photos, and I tried to channel all of Sailor Moon's iconic energy. For those looking to capture the perfect Sailor Moon poses, think dynamic and expressive! Her transformation sequences offer a lot of inspiration. A classic stance with one hand outstretched, or a powerful pose with both hands on your hips, always looks great. When I was posing outdoors, especially at night with those beautiful string lights in the background, I focused on creating a whimsical, almost dream-like feel. Don't be afraid to experiment with different angles and expressions – a serious, determined look can be just as impactful as a joyful, energetic one. Meeting Jennifer Cihi was absolutely surreal, and when I got the chance to pose with her, I couldn't help but feel incredibly starstruck! For moments like these, a celebratory pose, or even a cool back-to-back power pose, really captures the excitement. It’s not every day you get to stand alongside the voice of your childhood hero! My husband, who was rocking his Tanjiro cosplay from Demon Slayer, also got some incredible shots, and I hope someone out there captured us together! Conventions are also about soaking in the atmosphere. Don't be shy to ask other cosplayers for photos (always ask politely first!), and be open to people asking you for pictures too. It’s part of the fun and a fantastic way to connect with the community. Remember to stay hydrated and grab snacks, as convention food lines can be long. Overall, my first con was an absolute blast, and I'm already planning my next cosplay adventure!
