Today, I was so honored to be one of the guest speakers, Regina Nelson - Williams thank you for having me. Ministry truly took place. The topic I was given was Follow Jesus. I spoke on Gideon and his challenge to follow God when he already felt like he was the least in his father’s house. Oh, how I understood Gideon’s plight. Yet even in the winepress, Gideon was identified as a mighty warrior. And once he believed who God called him to be, that’s when he was able to walk into his calling.
When I walked up to the event today, an older lady looked at me and immediately said, “You are a superstar!” I smiled and started to say, “No ma’am, I’m just Laney…” — and this was even before I spoke my message. But then I thought about it and said, “You know what? I’m going to receive what you just said. I am a superstar!”
Y’all, God will call us even in our lowest places. Do you not know who you are? You are royalty. You are chosen. And even when you feel inadequate, God can still use you.
