For me, seeing the progress from Day 1 to now, 10 months in, has been incredibly rewarding. There might be days when the 'skrinage' (shrinkage or dry scalp) feels real, but that's part of the authentic loc experience. It's during this time you really start to appreciate the natural texture and resilience of your hair. My advice? Just enjoy the journey; it's yours, and every stage has its own beauty. As I hit the 8-month and then the 10-month milestones, the change became even more noticeable. The new growth is consistent, and my locs are gaining length and density. I've been feeling so 'vibing' with my hair lately, experimenting with different ways to wear them. This is where the idea of 'layering locs' comes into play, a topic many people ask about. While my own locs are still growing, I've been exploring how layering can add so much dimension and movement to a loc style.
