✨Happy 1st Birthday to my Small Business✨

One Year of J’Amour Beauty: The Hardest, Most Beautiful Chapter Yet ✨

A year ago, I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to my very own hair salon. I knew entrepreneurship wouldn’t be easy, but nothing could have fully prepared me for what this first year would bring. It’s been a mix of joy, exhaustion, lessons, and resilience—an experience that has tested me in ways I never imagined.

There were days when I felt unstoppable, watching my vision come to life. And then there were days where doubt crept in—where I wondered if I was doing enough, if I could sustain this dream, if I had the energy to keep pushing forward. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak, but it’s also the most rewarding journey I’ve ever been on.

Owning a business means wearing a hundred hats—stylist, mentor, receptionist, accountant, marketer, and sometimes even janitor. It means pouring into others while making sure I don’t forget to pour into myself. It means hustling beyond the chair, sometimes even outside the salon, just to keep things moving forward.

Through all the highs and lows, the one thing that has remained constant is my passion. The fire inside me that refuses to give up. And if there’s anything this journey has taught me, it’s this: When you have a dream, go all in. Even when it’s scary. Even when you’re unsure. Even when the odds feel stacked against you. Because the reward of seeing your vision come to life? It’s worth it.

J’Amour Beauty is just getting started. Year two is about growth, refinement, and elevation—in business, in mindset, and in life. If you’re on your own entrepreneurial journey (or thinking about starting one), just know: You are capable. You are worthy. And you can do this.

Here’s to more beauty, passion, and purpose ahead. If you’ve ever taken a leap of faith on something that scared you, tell me about it in the comments! Let’s inspire each other. 💛

... Read moreAs I celebrate the first birthday of J’Amour Beauty, I want to share insights that might inspire other aspiring entrepreneurs. Starting a business requires dedication, resilience, and a willingness to learn from every experience. The first year is crucial, filled with challenges and triumphs that shape the future. It's essential to build a support network, seek mentorship, and continuously innovate to meet evolving customer needs. One of the key takeaways from my journey has been the importance of self-care amidst the hustle. Balancing the numerous roles I play as a business owner—stylist, marketer, and more—can be overwhelming. I’ve learned that prioritizing my well-being is essential not just for my own health but for the success of the business as well. Moreover, engaging with the community, both online and offline, has fueled my growth. Social media platforms offer incredible opportunities to connect with potential clients and showcase our work. Sharing my journey authentically encourages others and builds a loyal customer base. I encourage fellow entrepreneurs to embrace social platforms as a tool for visibility and connection. With year two ahead, I focus on refining my services and enhancing customer experiences. Growth isn't just about expansion; it’s about deepening connections with clients and ensuring they feel valued. If you've embarked on a similar journey, I invite you to share your experiences. Let’s support each other in our entrepreneurial adventures!

Starting a small business/side hustle!
This weekend I took a big step and did what I called a sample sale where I let people try desserts i’m interested in selling to let me know what they’d think about them. I received great feedback ( even got my first order) and I think I’m ready to move forward and make a business page and website..

Running a business isn’t easy, especially when a lot of the tools out there built to help entrepreneurs cost a pretty penny. I’ve personally used Calendly, Trello and Dropbox and I can say they’re great! I actually use Trello on a daily basis for work and I’ve been using it for years — love it!

I’ve been LOVING the small business feature from the Sims 4 businesses and hobbies pack! These are 3 small businesses I recommend trying out: 1. Coffee truck ☕️- I’m a coffee addict in real life and I would love to own a coffee truck one day so what better way to manifest that than in the sims 🤭
