Post Op Week 2!!
It’s been 2 weeks (on thursday) since my surgery & i feel AMAZING! i got my draining tubes removed today + feel so free!! I ended up having 8lbs removed off of my chest & i was in SHOCK when they told me that after!! 8lbs doesn’t seem like that much, but imagine carrying an 8lbs weight on your chest everyday for like 8 - 9 years and never being able to take it off!!

After surgery, experiencing physical and emotional changes is common. Many individuals find that the recovery process can feel daunting, but connecting with others through shared experiences can provide comfort and support. While each person's journey is unique, there are general tips that can help during post-operative recovery. It's essential to rest adequately, follow the surgeon's advice, and gradually reintroduce activities. Nutritional support is also vital; a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals can enhance healing. Remember, self-care extends beyond physical recovery; mental well-being is equally important. Engaging in gentle activities such as meditation or light stretching can significantly boost mood and promote relaxation. Also, documenting your journey, whether through journaling or social media, can help process emotions and encourage others facing similar challenges. Above all, be patient with yourself; healing takes time, and celebrating small victories can lead to greater confidence and overall happiness!
