Which holiday candle is your favorite?
💌 Brand: Bath & body Works.
The holiday season just isn't complete without the warm, inviting glow and incredible scents of candles, right? Like many of you, I'm absolutely obsessed with finding the perfect aroma to fill my home during Christmas, and Bath & Body Works is often my first stop. Their holiday candle collections are simply iconic, offering so many incredible options that truly capture the spirit of the season. While Bath & Body Works definitely holds a special place in my heart for their amazing holiday candles, I've also been exploring other fantastic brands to expand my festive scent repertoire. There's a whole world of candle holidays out there! For instance, if you're looking for unique and sophisticated options beyond the usual, I've heard amazing things about brands like Yankee Candle for their traditional Christmas scents, and even high-end brands that offer luxurious festive fragrances. My friend recently raved about a particular M&S Collection salted caramel pinecones candle she found, saying it was the perfect blend of sweet and earthy – sounds divine, right? It just shows there are so many gems to discover when you're on the hunt for the best holiday candles. When I'm picking out my candles for Christmas, I tend to categorize them by the mood or vibe I want to create. Here are a few types of scents I always look for: Cozy & Sweet Gourmands: These are the scents that make you want to bake cookies and curl up by the fire. Think notes of vanilla bean, gingerbread, sugar plum, or even that delicious salted caramel. They're incredibly comforting and perfect for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. These are definitely my go-to for a cozy candle xmas evening. Fresh & Evergreen Forest: Nothing says Christmas like the smell of a fresh-cut tree! Balsam, pine, cedarwood, and juniper berry scents instantly transport you to a winter wonderland. I love these for my living room or entryway to give that authentic holiday feel. They're so crisp and clean, balancing out some of the richer, sweeter scents. Spicy & Warm Traditions: Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and spiced cranberry are classic holiday notes that bring a comforting warmth. These scents are often nostalgic and remind me of family gatherings and traditional Christmas feasts. They're fantastic for the kitchen or dining area, really enhancing the festive meal experience. When choosing your holiday candle, don't just sniff the lid – imagine where you'll burn it and what kind of atmosphere you want to create. For smaller spaces, a single-wick candle might be enough, but for larger rooms, a three-wick candle from Bath & Body Works or a similar brand will give you a stronger scent throw. I also find that rotating my scents helps keep things fresh throughout the season. One week, it's all about the fresh pine, and the next, I'm diving into a sweet, bakery-inspired scent! Candle care is also super important to make sure your festive flames last longer and burn safely. Always trim your wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn, and don't burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time. This helps prevent tunneling and keeps the scent strong. And, of course, always keep an eye on your burning candles and place them on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets, and children. Ultimately, the best holiday candles are the ones that bring you the most joy and help you create cherished memories. Whether you stick to your tried-and-true Bath & Body Works favorites or venture out to discover new brands and unique scents like salted caramel pinecones, it's all about embracing the magic of the season.
