Living without love

I’ve had countless Valentines Days sitting at home alone bothered and bitter to be spending it alone. Sure I have gotten to experience enjoying this romantic day with a romantic interest in a romantic setting.

But when you’re single and you’re a mom, maybe Valentine’s Day makes you a bit salty. I know I’ve had my moments!

This Valentine’s Day is special to me though. You see when I woke up this morning my 14 year old surprised me! He came in my room before I could get out of bed and presented me with a single short stem pink rose in a vase. I’m so proud and I almost cried. His thoughtful gesture made me recognize and appreciate the many different forms of love.

I now am focused on the love I have and not the love I lost.

Happy Valentines Day 💝
