Let’s talk showers! Am I the only one who takes long showers and have to use certain products?
I’ve always loved a great body wash. Natrium has been my go to for quite some time. I originally started out using the glow getter multi-oil wash. I love it so much. I read about the benefits of the mandelic acid body wash and I was sold. I use both of them in the shower. The glow getter oil I love because it has squalane and it makes me feel very soft. The energized body wash also deep cleans. I love the way it lathers and it has a very light refreshing scent.
Next up is my honey pot, gynecologist approved foaming wash. I love the sensitive formula because it doesn’t have any added scents and it’s super gentle. I’ve never had any issues.
Lastly— my newest addition to the routine: Truly Cooka Wash. This is my second time purchasing this item. I usually use this for my night time showers. I use this to make sure I don’t get ingrowns. It’s perfect for all the girls that wax. I promise!

... Read moreMy shower isn't just about getting clean anymore; it's become a sacred space for self-care and relaxation. I used to rush through it, but now I truly cherish this time to unwind and nourish my body. If you’re looking to transform your daily rinse into a truly luxurious ritual, here's how I make my shower extra special and why certain products are non-negotiable for me.
One of the biggest game-changers for me has been understanding the importance of a gentle body wash. Harsh soaps can strip your skin's natural moisture barrier, leading to dryness and irritation, especially if you shower daily. That’s why I swear by products that clean effectively without being aggressive. For instance, my beloved Natrium Glow Getter Multi-Oil Wash with squalane makes my skin feel incredibly soft, while the Mandelic Acid Body Wash deep cleans without any harshness. If you're wondering 'is showering everyday bad' or 'how many showers should you take a day,' it really comes down to your skin type and the products you use. With gentle formulas, you can maintain skin health even with daily showering.
Beyond the products, creating an 'aesthetic' and mood is essential for my self-care shower. Sometimes, I'll put on a calming playlist – think lo-fi beats or soulful R&B – to set a tranquil atmosphere. For those who explore a 'cold shower morning routine aesthetic,' focusing on the invigorating sensation can be just as impactful. I prefer warmth, but the idea is to engage your senses. Lighting a scented candle or using an essential oil diffuser adds another layer of bliss. It's about turning a mundane task into a mindful escape.
Another vital part of my routine is ensuring intimate care. Using something like *The Honey Pot Sensitive Foaming Wash*, which is gynecologist-approved and super gentle, gives me peace of mind. And for anyone who waxes, the Truly Cooka Wash has been a godsend for preventing ingrowns. These specific products aren't just about cleaning; they're about addressing specific skin needs and ensuring comfort. Investing in quality items that last and truly benefit your skin makes every penny worth it.
Ultimately, a self-care shower is what you make of it. It’s your moment to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself. Whether you're experimenting with different temperatures, discovering new gentle body washes, or simply enjoying your favorite tunes, make your shower an experience that leaves you feeling refreshed, pampered, and ready to tackle anything. What little luxury will you add to your shower routine this week?
