LBA SUMMER WORKSHOPS 2025

I'm absolutely thrilled that tickets are now on sale for the LBA Summer Workshops 2025! If you're like me and constantly looking for ways to improve your core strength and, well, 'low back ability,' then you know how valuable these sessions are. The workshops aren't just about generic exercises; they delve deep into understanding how our bodies really work, especially those crucial, often-ignored muscles. From what I've learned and seen about the LBA approach, it's all about building strength intelligently. For instance, I'm really looking forward to refining my '2 minutes hold.' It sounds simple, but holding for two minutes, truly engaging everything, is a game-changer for stability. Then there's the 'single leg hold' – that's where you really start to feel those deeper stabilizers kick in. It's not just about balance on one leg; it's about preventing those small, almost imperceptible 'tipping' movements that can lead to bigger issues down the line. It's incredible how much difference a focused hold can make! What I find fascinating is the focus on the 'intraspinal muscles' like the 'ROTATORES,' 'MULTIFIDUS,' and 'INTERSPINALES.' These are the unsung heroes that often get overlooked in typical routines, yet they're so vital for spinal health. You hear about them helping 'you from getting surgery,' which is a powerful motivator! It makes you realize how much precision goes into truly strengthening your core, beyond what an MRI might even show. The idea of doing a '1 min each side' single leg hold as a 'level 2' progression sounds challenging but incredibly effective for building foundational strength. And then comes the 'reps' – 'level 3' is where you start building endurance and strength through controlled movement. I'm excited to practice the 'hinge reps' and 'hinge half reps.' It’s about ensuring proper form first, maybe even starting 'hands free' once you've truly mastered the basics. The goal isn't just to move but to move with intention, eventually working towards 'full range reps.' Imagining doing '10 reps, 20 reps,' and ultimately aiming for '30 slow reps' while 'decompressing at the bottom' really puts into perspective the kind of disciplined, thoughtful practice these workshops teach. It’s not about speed; it’s about control and building resilient strength that lasts. These workshops are more than just a workout; they're an education in body mechanics and preventative care. I’m truly hoping to gain a deeper understanding of these concepts and integrate them into my daily routine. If you're on the fence about joining, especially if you've been searching for real solutions for low back support, I highly recommend checking out the LBA Summer Workshops. It’s an investment in your long-term well-being, and I can't wait to share my experience after the East Coast tour!
