Goodnight — Sun Day Closing

🌙 Goodnight — Sun Day Closing

Before you go to sleep tonight…

pause for a second. Some of y’all are confusing humility with humiliation… and they are not the same thing.

Humility is internal. It’s self-awareness. It’s being able to say, “I made a mistake,” or “let me listen and grow.”

Humiliation is external. It’s when someone tries to shame you, embarrass you, or strip your dignity…

usually because something in them was triggered.

Sometimes you will meet people who were meant to learn connection through you… but instead of choosing self-awareness, they choose ego. Instead of listening, they try to shame. Instead of meeting you where you are, they try to bring you down to where they are.

But here’s the truth…

You can’t teach humility to someone who isn’t ready to look at themselves. This goes back to you vs you. And you are not responsible for how someone reacts to your boundaries.

If you’ve ever been talked about, misunderstood, or made to feel small… that says more about what was triggered in them than anything lacking in you.

Stay aware. And don’t lose your character trying to respond to someone else’s. Some lessons people don’t learn through connection… they learn through consequence.

Today had a lot of energy on it. A lot of realizations… a lot of emotions… a lot of things being shown for what they really are.

And even if you didn’t react… your nervous system still felt it. So tonight not about overthinking. It’s about calming your body back down.

Let your system know:

“I’m safe… I can rest now.”

Try this before bed:

Take a slow breath in through your nose…

hold it for a few seconds…

and release it out your mouth.

Do that a few times.

Let your shoulders drop… unclench your jaw… relax your stomach.

Remember, You don’t have to carry today into tomorrow. Remember to tell your inner child that you love them..

If you have black salt or clay… this is a good night to cleanse your energy.

• black salt — for protection, grounding, releasing what’s not yours

• clay — for drawing out heaviness, calming your field

Even if it’s just your hands or your feet…

set the intention:

“anything I picked up today that’s not mine… I release it.”

No long rituals needed.

Just intention and stillness.

And be mindful what you take into your sleep tonight.

Not every thought deserves to follow you into your dreams.

Close the day with this:

“I saw what I needed to see… I release what I don’t need… and I allow myself to rest.”

Get your rest.

Tomorrow will meet you with a clearer mind and a lighter body. One love One Frequency ❤️ 💕

... Read moreAs someone who has navigated the challenges of emotional overwhelm after a long day, I can personally attest to the transformative power of pausing before sleep. Understanding the difference between humility and humiliation helped me shift my mindset, allowing me to embrace self-awareness rather than internalizing negative external judgments. This mindset shift is essential for emotional growth and resilience. Incorporating simple breathing exercises, such as a slow inhale through the nose, holding for a few seconds, and releasing through the mouth, can activate the parasympathetic nervous system. This response calms the nervous system, making it easier to fall asleep peacefully. I found that consistently practicing this routine helped me reduce overthinking and anxious thoughts before bedtime. Additionally, energy cleansing methods, like using black salt for protection and grounding or applying clay to draw out emotional heaviness, can enhance mental clarity and promote relaxation. Setting the intention to release anything picked up that day that does not belong to you creates a powerful psychological boundary, which helps prevent carrying negative energy into your sleep. It's also important to be gentle with your inner child, acknowledging their need for love and compassion. This practice nurtures emotional healing and helps you close the day with kindness rather than self-criticism. Finally, reminding yourself with affirmations such as “I saw what I needed to see… I release what I don’t need… and I allow myself to rest” serves as a closing ritual to mentally transition from the day's stresses to restful night. Overall, embracing these mindful closing rituals fosters a healthier relationship with yourself and others, leading to restorative sleep and a lighter mind ready to face a new day.
