✨🌸 Mantra for 2024 🌸✨
People pleasing. We all do it. I spent a huge fraction of my life and my time living through the eyes and wishes of others. I allowed outside noise to not only persuade me but also dictate how i viewed myself and how i receive and accept love. That means that even the slightest judgement could have destroyed my inner peace, dismantle my perception of who i am.
I allowed the words and actions of those who didn't truly value me to stand for more worth then my own. I allowed family and friends to project and devalue my worth in this way. It's so important that we stop trying to fill this need to please the outside noise. Some people lack the security in themselves - and will dismantle the well being of anyone who shows them love unconditionally. This is not an ode to blame them! It was up to me to pick up those pieces. Find what pulls on my heart strings and make me sing again. I cannot blame others for issues with people pleasing - i made the conscious choice to live through the eyes of others and crave acceptance.
Then one day it hit me. I. Don't. Give. A. F*ck! Love me for who i am. Or not at all. I will never spend another moment living this unattainable image to the outside world. Because in a way - i won't be enough to some. But inside i know that i have the strength and the worth to be anything i dream. And if that looks unconventional to some then so fucking be it. I live and excel at my own pace. As should all of you. So reclaim your power. Let go of the attachment to others perception. Ask yourself what you truly want and see for yourself. And conquer it one step at a time 💖
