Ever wonder why you can’t seem to find good stuff at the thrift store or why going to the thrift store stresses you out? Are you making any of these 5 mistakes?

1. Not going often enough (and at different times of the day). Don’t underestimate the constantly changing inventory of the thrift store! Keep going back, there are always new items to discover.

2. Not having a plan.

Getting overwhelmed is an easy thing to do when shopping secondhand. Go with a rough idea of what you want, and you’re more likely to find it.

3. Not being picky about what you buy.

When you see something you like, really look it over. Check for cracks or other signs of damage before *adding it to the cart*

4. Not being open to new sizes and styles.

Again, you never know what you’ll find in the thrift store. Try it on, test it out! Different styles that you’d never normally wear might surprise you.

5. Not having a budget.

One of the best perks of thrifting is all the extra money you can save. Buying every shiny thing that peeks your interest just means more stuff on your shelves and less money in your pocket. Own your stuff, don’t let it own you.
