FIRST TRIMESTER tips & tricks
hey y'all- are you suffering through the first trimester like i did? i have/had hyperemisis and i struggled so much, below are some tips you can find that may help you through your pregnancy even beyond the first 13 weeks 🤰🏼
🌟hydrating is most important- in the beginning, your baby takes all nutrients from you. i know not eating much can be scary, but staying hydrated is the most important.
🌟tell your doctor asap if you are rapidly losing weight. cant keep much down, or are no longer urinating. there are different medications you can try (meds helped me be able to eat enough to stop losing weight)
🌟always sip on something. smoothies with fruit & protein yogurt was almost the entirety of my nutrition the first 10 weeks. i found constantly sipping helped my stomach a lot.
🌟buy a maternity pillow! i use a wedge pillow and a regular pillow from the very beginning and they helped support my back and sides while sleeping.
🌟tell your support system!! while the chances of loss drastically lower as you go on, they can happen any time. you dont have to keep your pregnancy a secret until 12 weeks, especially if you want your support system there for you no matter what.
should i share more tips?

The first trimester can often be the most challenging time for expectant mothers, especially when dealing with symptoms like morning sickness and hyperemesis. Staying hydrated is crucial; it's vital for your health and the baby's development. Try to incorporate nutrient-dense smoothies into your diet, which can provide a manageable way to get essential vitamins and minerals without overwhelming your stomach. Maintaining open communication with your healthcare provider is also key. Don't hesitate to reach out if you experience rapid weight loss or dehydration, as there are several treatment options available that can help. Remember that it's okay to seek support from family and friends during this transformative time. Sharing your experience can help alleviate some of the emotional stress associated with early pregnancy. Embracing this journey with a solid support system in place not only fosters reassurance but can also make the process more enjoyable. Given varying individual experiences, finding helpful strategies tailored to your specific situation is essential.

I agree with all of this!! Especially the not waiting 12 weeks to tell people. Why miss out on such precious time that’s so exciting?? I get that losses happen but we deserve to celebrate babies no matter how long we get 🥰
