Read moreDealing with challenging emotions can be tough, but I've found a helpful approach that really works: allowing yourself to fully experience your feelings, whether it's sadness, disappointment, or grief, and then consciously choosing to move forward. After giving yourself permission to cry and process your emotions, it's important to engage in activities that lift your spirits and reconnect you with joy. For me, that means laughing with friends, dancing to my favorite tunes, or playing games like Minecraft to immerse myself in a creative and positive environment. This approach is not about avoiding your true feelings—it’s about honoring them and then actively choosing to move beyond them. It’s a healthy coping mechanism that can prevent feelings from lingering and becoming overwhelming. For example, immersing yourself in a game like Minecraft can be both therapeutic and energizing, as it encourages problem-solving, creativity, and social interaction. I've noticed that after such activities, I feel mentally refreshed and emotionally stronger. Remember, moving on doesn’t mean you forget what you’ve felt; it means you acknowledge your emotions and then take proactive steps to nurture your happiness. Whether it’s through laughter, dance, play, or simply going outside, these actions help you regain balance and positivity. Everyone’s journey is different, but this method of feeling, releasing, and then choosing joy can provide a meaningful path forward.
