When we met, I had no idea he was even a musician. I was buried in finance, living that spreadsheet life, and he was… doing his thing, quietly chasing a dream I didn’t yet know existed. Once we got serious and started talking about the future, he dropped it on me: he wanted to take music seriously.
So I started helping. Little things at first, brand ideas, merch suggestions, occasional help with bookings. But as things started popping off, we had “the talk”: quit our jobs, go all in, and make music our lifeline. And we did.
My role grew slowly but surely. I had to ask a ton of questions, do a ton of research, and yeah, wing a lot of it. I don’t take no for an answer, and I figure out a way to make what I want happen. That’s just me.
Now? I’m wearing every hat you can imagine. Band/artist manager. Tour manager. Booking agent. PR. Social media. Brand creator. Band wife/mom. Some days I feel like I need three more of me just to keep up. But we’re living a life most people only dream about, so I can’t complain.
Not gonna lie, the little devil on my shoulder sometimes whispers, “Give up. This isn’t for the weak.” And yeah, it’s brutal sometimes. But the good? The good makes it worth it. We spend every single moment together, not just in life, but in work too. For some couples, that would break them. For us? It just works.
We travel. We adventure. We create. We fight through stress. We laugh through chaos. And we love every minute of it.

Taking the leap from a stable finance career into the unpredictable world of music management is exhilarating yet daunting. In my experience, the key to thriving in this space is embracing versatility and relentless problem-solving. Wearing multiple hats—whether managing tours, handling PR, or creating branding opportunities—requires constant learning and adaptability. But equally important is the personal connection: sharing every challenge and victory with someone as passionate as you turns the chaos into a shared adventure. One strategy that helped me tremendously was setting clear short-term goals, like launching merchandise or securing specific gigs, to maintain focus amid the whirlwind of daily tasks. Networking within the music community also opened unexpected doors, making bookings and collaborations smoother over time. I learned not to fear saying no and to negotiate firmly when needed. Of course, the emotional rollercoaster is real—the pressure to succeed, financial uncertainty, and at times, the temptation to give up. Yet, these moments are balanced by the joy of creating something meaningful together and witnessing the artist’s growth firsthand. Traveling to new cities for tours or sharing glimpses of our creative process on social media deepened our bond and expanded our audience. For anyone contemplating a similar path, my advice is to stay persistent and be ready to wear many hats simultaneously. Embrace the chaos and enjoy the wild ride—it’s truly a life most only dream about.
