Renovating a child's bedroom can be such a rewarding experience, and sharing my journey feels like inspiring others to create beautiful and functional spaces for their kids. Recently, I decided it was time to refresh Bella’s bedroom, aiming to make it more inviting and organized. One key lesson I learned is the importance of planning each step carefully, especially when it comes to cleaning and decluttering — these set the stage for everything else. In my experience, setting aside a day to thoroughly clean the room helps massively. It’s amazing how much easier it becomes to envision the new space when the old clutter is cleared out. Organizing storage areas during this phase is essential; I recommend using baskets or bins to keep toys and books neatly arranged, which helps maintain order long after the renovation. Although I’m still working on Bella’s room decor, adding personalized items like colorful cushions, wall art, and fairy lights can transform a simple room into a cozy sanctuary for any girl. I also found that involving Bella in selecting these items makes the room truly hers. Monday was a productive day for tackling these tasks, as noted in some of my photo captions.
