Get a job that aligns with your goals

For the past five or six years, I believed that becoming a veterinary technician was my calling. I worked as an assistant and witnessed firsthand the dedication and hard work that technicians put in, often in stressful situations. I have great respect for them, as there are aspects of the job that I simply cannot handle.

However, recently, I've realized that my true passion lies in becoming a yoga instructor. I aspire to open my own studio someday. To explore this new path, I’ve taken a part-time job at a gym that offers hot yoga classes, where I’ve been informed that I can cross-train. I’m genuinely excited about this journey and eager to experience what it’s like before making a significant investment in a certification course.

I believe that finding a job aligned with your goals is essential. It allows you to focus on what you truly want to pursue and helps you determine if it’s something you’d like to commit to long-term. After working in the veterinary office for two to three years, I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me anymore, yet I stayed because it was familiar. Now, I’m ready to embrace a path that resonates with my passions.

You definitely have to do what makes you happy and I agree with you working with anything with animals is extremely stressful. I work as a groomer and I just don’t think it’s my calling for the rest of my life
