I can’t wait to become a PA!
Working in the healthcare sector is both rewarding and challenging. As I pursue my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant (PA), I've documented my journey through gaining patient care experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I've accumulated a total of 340 hours of patient care, which is vital for my application to PA programs. To effectively prepare for this career, having clinical experience is crucial. The requirement for hours may vary by program, but investing time in shifts not only improves my skills but also enhances my understanding of patient interactions. I’ve been dedicating time to different shifts, focusing on both 12-hour and 4-hour stints. Each experience helps build my competence in caring for patients and understanding their needs, putting me one step closer to my goal. Networking with professionals in the medical field and participating in forums can provide insight into PA school expectations. Don't hesitate to engage with others who share similar aspirations. Their advice and shared experiences can be invaluable, whether discussing prerequisites or the actual day-to-day responsibilities of a PA. Enthusiasm and dedication are vital components on this journey. I can’t wait to embark on this fulfilling career path as a Physician Assistant!
