Why I retired my septum piercing

Hey!! Here’s my reasons why I retired my septum piercing🙃

I had my septum piercing since I was 15 years old. I loved it at first but as the years went by, I always find it hard to do something because of my septum.

Reason 1: It was hard to blow my nose and snot would go in between my septum and my nose making it nasty

Reason 2: Everytime someone would bump into my nose, it would HURT so much.

Reason 3: It would be hard to eat because my septum would be in the way and it would get food on it.

Reason 4: I didn’t feel confident with it anymore and I think I look less pretty with it in.

It was nice and I loved how there was cute jewelry’s but it’s time to retire it now.

I’m probably gonna get my right nostril pierced again. I LOVED that piercing so much.

I don’t have it anymore because it came out in the shower and it was too late to put back in. I find out I didn’t have it in, in the morning when I woke up.

I have my belly button pierced and I LOVE it so much.

If you have cute piercings ideas or tips please share them!😁

... Read moreHaving experienced the daily realities of a septum piercing, I want to share some practical advice for anyone considering or currently wearing one. Firstly, hygiene is essential. The buildup of snot or debris between the piercing and the nose can cause irritation or infections, so regular gentle cleaning is necessary. I found that saline sprays helped reduce discomfort and buildup. Secondly, be mindful of the piercing during physical activities or in crowded places. Even minor bumps can cause sharp pain, as I experienced. Regarding eating, certain jewelry styles protrude more and can catch food, so opting for minimalist pieces might help reduce inconvenience. If you’re debating whether to keep or remove your septum piercing, listen to your comfort and confidence levels. For me, after years, I felt less myself with it on, which motivated my decision. For those thinking about switching piercings, nostril and belly button piercings offer versatility and are usually easier to manage daily. I loved my right nostril piercing and look forward to getting it again. Feel free to share your favorite piercing experiences, tips, or jewelry recommendations—it's always great to learn from each other in the piercing community!
