私が行った日は、松江城の夜景ライトアップ目的で来ている人が多くて、想像以上ににぎわっていました。松江水燈路は「写真を撮りたい」だけじゃなくて、“暗すぎない夜の散歩”ができるのが良かったです。石畳やお堀沿いは足元が見えにくい場所もあるので、歩きやすい靴＋薄手の羽織があると安心でした（秋でも夜は体感温度が下がります）。 アクセス面で助かったのがシャトルバスと駐車場。車の人は案内される「おもてなし駐車場」を使うと、中心部の渋滞ストレスが減りました。会場近くはイベント時間帯に混みやすいので、到着は少し早めがおすすめ。ライトアップは“点灯した瞬間”より、暗さに目が慣れてからの方が写真も雰囲気もきれいに感じました。 大手前広場駐車場周辺の屋台は、軽く食べながら回れるのが嬉しいポイント。歩き疲れたら、いったん温かい飲み物を挟むと満足度が上がります。ワークショップもあって、観光というよりお祭りっぽい空気感でした。 あわせて気になりがちな周辺スポットもメモしておきます。塩見縄手には松江武家屋敷があり、料金や最終入場時間は時期で変わることがあるので、行く前に公式情報を確認してから動くのが確実です（ライトアップ散策とセットにすると時間配分が大事）。 夕方から動く人は「松江 夕日指数」もチェックしておくと、宍道湖の夕日→松江城ライトアップの流れが作れて最高でした。夕日が当たりの日は、少し早めに湖畔へ寄ってから松江水燈路に向かうと一日が完璧にまとまります。 もう1日使えるなら、松江フォーゲルパークもおすすめ。チケットは当日窓口でも買えますが、混雑日や時間を無駄にしたくない人は事前購入や割引の有無を確認しておくとスムーズでした。昼はフォーゲルパーク、夜は松江水燈路…という組み合わせも、移動距離がそこまで長くなくて旅程が組みやすかったです。 最後に写真のコツ。松江城の夜景は明暗差が大きいので、スマホならナイトモード＋手ブレ対策（壁や手すりに固定）が安定。人が多い日は、少し離れた場所から引きで撮ると「松江水燈路」らしい光の広がりが残せました。
