玉造温泉街って、初めて行くと「どこから歩けばいい？」「カフェはどの辺にある？」と迷いやすいので、私が実際に歩いた感覚で“ざっくり玉造温泉街マップ”の見方をまとめます（紙のマップや現地看板と一緒に使うとかなりラクでした）。 まず玉造温泉街は、川沿いに見どころやお店が点在していて、橋を渡りながら散策するのが基本。マップを見るときは「①駐車場（観光客用）→②温泉街の中心（橋が多いエリア）→③休憩スポット→④おみやげ」の順にチェックすると、歩くルートが決めやすいです。私の場合は、近隣の日帰り観光客駐車場に停めて、川沿いを写真を撮りながらゆっくり進みました。 休憩場所としてちょうど良かったのが、玉造アートボックス2階のmame cafe。温泉街の散策中って、足湯やお店巡りで意外と体力を使うので「座って落ち着ける場所」があると満足度が上がります。ここは“カフェとレトロ雑貨のお店”という雰囲気が温泉街にぴったりで、店内を見て回るだけでも楽しいです。カフェメニューも種類豊富で、甘いもの・軽食どちらも選べるのが嬉しいポイント。私は看板でも推されていたまがたまモチーフの抹茶カプチーノが気になって選びました。 子連れ目線だと「お座敷あり」はかなり助かります。ベビーカーでの移動後に、靴を脱いで休めるだけで親も子もリセットできました。マップで場所を確認するときは、“玉造アートボックス”を先に見つけてから、建物の2階がmame cafeと覚えると迷いにくいです。 最後に、マップ活用のコツ。行きたいお店を先にピン留めするより、「疲れたらここで休む」「おみやげはここで買う」みたいに目的別に印をつけると、当日の寄り道にも対応しやすいです。mame cafeの近くには1階のショップもあるので、散策→カフェ休憩→おみやげ確認…と流れで動けて、玉造温泉街の歩き方が一気にスムーズになりました。
