First finished book of the new year!
I read over half of it in a day (the 2nd) and then got busy the next two days but finished it yesterday (the fifth) in one setting if that tells you how good it was! I do have to say Beat’s mom was my favorite character though lol #readsofthisyear
Starting the year with a great book really sets a positive tone, and 'Wreck the Halls' did just that for me. I found myself completely immersed, reading over half the book in a single day before life got busy, but I just couldn’t wait to finish it the moment I could return to it. What stood out most to me were the vibrant characters, especially Beat’s mom, who added a lot of humor and warmth to the story. Tessa Bailey’s writing style is engaging, blending romance and holiday cheer with just the right amount of wit and emotional depth. If you enjoy books that make you laugh and feel deeply, this one is for you. It's a story that explores relationships, family dynamics, and the ups and downs of love during the holidays, making it perfect for reading anytime you want a mixture of comfort and excitement. For those who love sharing reads on platforms like Lemon8, this book sparked a lot of joy and discussion among fellow readers in the #bookwormsoflemon8 and #booksoflemon8 communities. The holiday theme of 'Wreck the Halls' also makes it a delightful choice for seasonal reading lists, but its charm goes beyond just that. If you’re looking for a fresh, entertaining read with memorable characters and a satisfying storyline, I highly recommend giving 'Wreck the Halls' a try. It’s a wonderful example of why Tessa Bailey is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and why her books continue to capture readers’ hearts year after year.
