wearing vs styling 💐
knowing that difference between just wearing an item & styling an item is an important part of finding an outfit to wear. styling allows you to utilize pieces that would usually sit on your hanger to be forgotten. using accessories to style is my personal favorite way to tweak clothing in a way that suits your body & personality!

i found this beautiful cotton nightgown at my local thrift store. i debated on purchasing it because it was in a larger size than my own & i wasn’t sure that i could style it. as you can see, it’s a little bit big & not the most flattering as is.

to cinch in the waist for a more put together look, i added a thick vintage fossil belt & tucked in the extra fabric.
to match with my belt, i picked my vintage lucky brand boots in the same chestnut color & to go along with the cottage-core vibe. i also added some crochet laces to them which i love!
my beaded bag is from a local antique shop, i think it goes so well with the floral embroidery on the neckline of this dress!

to complete the look, i added some of my favorite jewelry! my hoop earrings are from argento vivo, my necklaces are both vintage from my mom & my charm bracelet is vintage juicy couture!
