The Daily Goodbye every working mom knows too well..
A scene every working mom knows too well... 💔
Every morning, I leave for work.
And some mornings, my youngest would stand at the door, stretching out her little hands, hoping Mommy will stay just a little longer.
People always say, "It'll get easier when they grow up."
But after becoming a mom of three, I don't think it ever does.
Because while my youngest is crying at the door today...
My two older girls no longer do.
They've grown.
They're more independent now. They wave goodbye, head off to do their work, and carry on with their day.
And instead of feeling relieved, I catch myself thinking...
When did they grow up?
It reminds me that I've been working for so many years that my babies are no longer babies.

As moms, whenever we face a problem, our first instinct is to look for a solution.
But as time goes by, something changes.
We stop searching.
We tell ourselves, "This is just how life is." "This is what every working mom goes through."
So we learn to live with it.
Until the same feeling comes back again... Every goodbye. Every missed milestone. Every reminder that our children are growing faster than we realize.
I was that mom too.
I kept saying I wanted more flexibility. More time. More choices.
But 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬.
Nothing changed until I finally took a bold step and started building my digital business alongside my nursing career.
Not because I wanted to stop working immediately.
But because I wanted to create options for my future.
Today, I'm still on this journey.
I'm still learning. Still building. Still showing up for both my family and my work.
But one thing has changed...
I'm no longer just hoping life will be different someday.

If you're a working mom who's been telling yourself, "Maybe one day..."
Maybe today is worth asking yourself:
What's one small step I can take now, so I won't look back years later wishing I'd started sooner? ❤️
Every working mom eventually faces the bittersweet moment of saying goodbye to her child each morning. This daily farewell can be heart-wrenching, especially when your little one reaches out, hoping you'll stay longer. Over time, the mixed feelings evolve—not only missing the tender moments but also realizing how fast time flies as children grow into independent individuals. From personal experience, I’ve found that the emotional challenge doesn’t fade; it transforms. Older kids might no longer cry or cling at the doorstep, but their independence serves as a powerful reminder of how quickly life moves. The feeling of loss combines with pride, and many working moms find themselves caught between striving to provide financially and yearning for more quality moments. What helped me was shifting from just hoping for flexibility and better work-life balance to taking concrete steps toward it. I started building a digital side business alongside my existing career. This wasn’t an overnight fix, but a deliberate choice to create options for my future. For working moms balancing careers and motherhood, the idea of side income or digital entrepreneurship can be a practical way to gradually increase control over your schedule. It's important to acknowledge that wanting a different life and taking action are two different things. The first step might be small—maybe researching online business ideas, joining a supportive community, or setting aside time weekly to build your side project. The goal is to empower yourself with choices so you don’t look back years later wishing you started sooner. For those feeling stuck in the cycle of missed milestones and rushed goodbyes, remember: time quietly passes while we focus on providing. But building a life that offers more control and presence for your children is achievable by taking that vital first step now. Every goodbye may still come with a pang, but it can be accompanied by hope and confidence in a future shaped by your own hands.
