Beyond its function as one of the busiest train stations in the world, this landmark showcases incredible architectural features that reflect New York City's rich history. One of my favorite highlights was the famous celestial ceiling—a turquoise sky adorned with over 2,500 stars forming a zodiac mural, many with tiny lights that shimmer beautifully. Interestingly, the zodiac signs are painted in reverse, which adds a mysterious charm and sparks curiosity among visitors about its meaning. When I went on a guided walking tour, I learned about the Terminal's origins, opened in 1913 as a grand public space that celebrates travel and elegant design. The tour guide shared fascinating stories behind the terminal's creation, design choices, and its role as a transportation hub. Booking the tour directly through TikTok not only gave me easy access to details but also applied a useful discount at purchase, making the visit even better for the budget-conscious traveler. If you're planning a trip to NYC or even if you live nearby, I highly recommend checking out this historic site. It's perfect for lovers of architecture, history buffs, and anyone who enjoys stunning photo opportunities. Plus, with promotions available through TikTok bookings, it's both an enriching and affordable experience. Don't forget to explore the nearby shops and eateries inside Grand Central for a full day of enjoyment.
