And then there’s Amelia's The Stutz – their coffee and snacks truly hit the spot, and the atmosphere there is just fantastic for enjoying a quiet moment or lively conversation. Their selection of local food really complements their excellent coffee. One place that always brings a smile to my face is Nine Lives Cat Café. Seriously, a 10/5 for the experience! The coffee choices there are excellent, but the real highlight, of course, is the chance to interact with the adoptable kittens & cats. Just remember, a reservation is definitely needed for the cat lounge sessions. It’s such a unique concept for a coffee shop, blending my love for great coffee with my passion for animals. I even spotted a 'Raspberry Icy Cat' on the menu, which sounds like such a fun, refreshing treat! And for those on campus, Caribou Coffee on IU Indy Campus is a lifesaver. It’s so convenient, and I love that they always have seasonal drinks that are genuinely delicious – like their STRAWBERRY & BANANA SMOOTHIE that's perfect for a warm day. It's these kinds of thoughtful touches that really make a coffee shop stand out to me. Finding quality coffee close to shops or my daily routine is always a bonus. Beyond these specific spots, when you're exploring the Indy coffee scene, I always recommend looking for places that reflect the local culture. Many cafes, especially around areas like Mass Ave, offer more than just coffee – they're community hubs. Don't be afraid to try a new brew or ask the barista for their recommendation; you might just discover your new favorite!
