I TRIED THE VIRAL SWEET POTATO BOWL ✨

Despite the combo sounding a bit weird, it actually wasn’t bad… as long as I ate each bite with all the layers. It was a little weird without all the layers but still not bad. I ate less than half of my bowl and I’ve been stuffed for hours !!!!

7.5/10

Have you tried this??

-ground beef (I had a jar of roasted peppers in garlic on hand so I used the juice from the jar and it was amazing!! And of course I had butter and minced garlic along with some seasoning)

-sweet potatoes (peeled and diced. Seasoned. Air fryer for about 20 minutes, 350 degrees)

-cottage cheese (I mixed the container before blobbing it on there)

-avocado

-hot honey drizzle (game changer it’s a must!!!)

-a small sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

... Read moreWhen I first encountered the viral sweet potato bowl trend, I was curious but hesitant about combining so many different flavors in one dish. However, after trying it myself, I found that the magic lies in layering each component correctly to create a harmonious blend of taste and texture. One of my favorite parts about this bowl is the use of air-fried sweet potatoes. Air frying them at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes results in tender, slightly caramelized pieces that add the perfect sweet and savory base. I recommend seasoning them generously with salt and a touch of paprika or cumin for an extra flavor boost. The addition of ground beef cooked with roasted peppers in garlic juice elevates the dish with a smoky, garlicky richness. Using the juice from jarred roasted peppers was an accidental but brilliant discovery, as it infused the beef with a depth of flavor I hadn’t expected. For those looking for a lighter protein option, ground turkey or even a plant-based meat substitute can work beautifully. Cottage cheese adds a creamy texture and a subtle tang that balances the sweetness of the potatoes and the spicy honey drizzle. I suggest mixing the cottage cheese well before adding it to the bowl to ensure an even spread and avoid clumps. Avocado slices bring in a buttery softness that rounds out the bowl and complements the heat from the optional crushed red pepper flakes. Speaking of heat, the hot honey drizzle is a total game changer—I recommend mixing honey with a dash of cayenne or chili flakes to replicate this deliciously sweet and spicy finish. Overall, this bowl is incredibly filling. I found I only needed to eat half to feel satisfied for hours, making it a great option for meal prepping or anyone looking for a nutrient-dense, balanced meal. If you’re exploring ways to eat healthier or lose weight without sacrificing flavor, this viral sweet potato bowl is definitely worth a try.
