VEGAS IN JANUARY ?! 🚫 Let's talk about it

I was super nervous about it being too cold, but honestly, it turned out to be a really unique and fun experience! If you're considering a trip to the Las Vegas Strip in January, here’s my take. First off, let's talk about the weather in January in Las Vegas. Yes, it's definitely cooler than the scorching summer months, but it's not 'freezing' cold like some places. During the day, temperatures were surprisingly pleasant, often in the high 50s to low 60s Fahrenheit, which was perfect for walking around and exploring the Strip without breaking a sweat. The evenings, however, did get chilly, dipping into the 40s. So, definitely pack layers! I managed with scarves, light jackets, and a cozy sweater or two. No need for heavy winter coats unless you really feel the cold. The dry desert air actually makes the cooler temperatures feel quite crisp and refreshing, not damp and biting. One of the biggest perks of visiting Las Vegas in January? The crowds! After the New Year's Eve festivities, things quiet down significantly. This meant shorter lines for shows, easier reservations at popular restaurants, and generally a more relaxed atmosphere. It felt like I could really enjoy the attractions without feeling overwhelmed. We had a fantastic time exploring the illuminated Eiffel Tower replica and just taking in the vibrant night scene without jostling through huge crowds. It was a completely different vibe than my summer trips, and I loved it. As for things to do, January still offers an incredible array of options. Obviously, pool parties are out, but there are so many amazing indoor activities. We caught a couple of incredible Cirque du Soleil shows, which are always a must-do in Vegas. The world-class dining scene is alive and well, and it was easier to get into some of the top spots. Shopping at the Forum Shops and Miracle Mile was also a great way to spend a cooler afternoon. While my trip was focused on my birthday celebrations, I did notice that if you were looking for family fun things to do in Las Vegas, there are still plenty of options even in January. Many hotels have indoor attractions like aquariums, arcades, or even just incredible themed lobbies that are fun to explore with kids during the day. Fremont Street Experience is another great option, as it's covered and has a lively atmosphere no matter the weather. My top tip for January in Vegas? Embrace the indoors! Plan your days around shows, gourmet meals, casino hopping, and exploring the incredible hotel interiors. If you venture outside, dress warmly, especially after sunset. Overall, my January trip to Las Vegas was a huge success. It offered a different, more relaxed side of Vegas that I really appreciated. Don't let the 'cold' scare you off – it's a fantastic time for a memorable visit!
