New spot in Vegas!

2024/7/13 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! I recently had the chance to visit UnCommons, a relatively new and buzzing spot in Las Vegas that’s been popping up on my radar. My initial impression, and one that aligns with the original review, is that this place definitely delivers on cute vibes, but the food might be a hit or miss. Overall, I’d land it around a 7/10 too, but let me break down why I think it’s still worth checking out. Stepping into UnCommons, you’re immediately immersed in a very chic and art-forward atmosphere. The decor is truly a standout. I was particularly fascinated by a wall I saw, beautifully adorned with multiple sculptural face masks arranged in a grid – it’s such a unique focal point and definitely a fantastic backdrop for photos. Throughout the space, you’ll notice thoughtful touches like lit candles in dark holders and strategically placed white candles on shelves, contributing to a cozy yet sophisticated glow. There’s even a spot with dark tiled walls that makes for an excellent mirror selfie opportunity, which is always a bonus for content creators! Every corner seems designed with an eye for aesthetics, making it a great place to just hang out and soak in the ambiance. Now, about the culinary side. The original post mentioned the food was "okay," and after my visit, I can totally see why. I tried their guacamole, which was presented beautifully with a scattering of pumpkin seeds and cilantro. Visually, it was appealing, but I found the flavor to be a bit understated for my palate. It was fresh, but perhaps lacked that vibrant, zesty kick you often crave. However, if you’re heading to UnCommons, you absolutely must try their cocktails. They are truly the stars of the show! Mine was a beautiful creation, garnished with a bright yellow flower and a chili-salt rim, which added such an exciting and unexpected twist to each sip. The presentation alone is Instagram-worthy, and the taste lives up to the hype. It’s definitely a place where you’ll want to explore their drink menu. Service-wise, I found the staff to be attentive and friendly, adding to the pleasant experience. Pricing is what you’d expect for a trendy new spot in Vegas – cocktails are on the higher side, but worth it for the quality and creativity. Food prices are moderate, reflecting the "okay" quality. When it was time for the bill, even the check presenter caught my eye – a rustic, dark brown book-like object, with "Le Check" and a cute pink heart emoji overlaid, showing that attention to detail extends to every part of your visit. So, who is UnCommons for? I’d say it’s perfect if you’re looking for a stylish spot for a date night, a casual meet-up with friends for drinks, or if you simply appreciate beautiful interiors and unique photo opportunities. It’s not necessarily a destination for a five-star gourmet meal, but it’s fantastic for the overall experience, especially the drinks and the atmosphere. Visiting during off-peak hours might give you a better chance to enjoy the space without too much crowd. It's a great addition to the evolving Vegas scene, offering something a little different from the typical Strip attractions.
