หลายครั้งที่ผมพยายามทำ Intermittent Fasting ตามสูตรทั่วไป แต่รู้สึกไม่ค่อยเหมาะกับร่างกายผู้หญิง จนได้อ่าน Fast Like a Girl และเข้าใจว่าการอดอาหารต้องปรับให้เข้ากับรอบเดือนและฮอร์โมนของผู้หญิงโดยเฉพาะ เช่น การอดในช่วงที่เหมาะสมจะช่วยให้ร่างกายเผาผลาญไขมันดีขึ้น แต่ถ้าฝืนอดในช่วงฮอร์โมนอ่อนไหว อาจทำให้ระบบฮอร์โมนเสียสมดุลและทำให้รู้สึกเครียดมากขึ้น ผมชอบตาราง IF 6 แบบที่แนะนำในหนังสือ เพราะสามารถปรับเลือกได้ตามเป้าหมายของแต่ละคน และยังมีเมนูอาหารที่เหมาะกับผู้หญิง รวมถึงอาหารมังสวิรัติที่ช่วยให้สุขภาพดีขึ้นหลังเลิกอดอาหาร ช่วยลดอาการหิวและคุมระดับน้ำตาลได้ดีขึ้นด้วย อีกสิ่งที่ผมประทับใจคือคำแนะนำที่ละเอียดและเหมือนมีคุณหมอคอยแนะนำอยู่ใกล้ ๆ ทำให้รู้สึกมั่นใจมากขึ้นก่อนเริ่มทำ IF โดยเฉพาะสำหรับผู้หญิงที่มีโรคประจำตัว ควรเช็คสุขภาพและปรึกษาแพทย์ก่อนเสมอ เพื่อให้การอดอาหารเป็นไปอย่างปลอดภัยและมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุด
