Portugal - Braga - Bom Jesus Do Monte Basilica

Recent trip to Portugal on a 12 day tour of the mainland. This Basilica is incredibly beautiful!

Built in the 18th century, the basilica features a stunning staircase with 580 steps adorned with beautiful sculptures. Visitors are encouraged to take the funicular railway that ascends the hill, providing picturesque views along the journey. The surrounding gardens and nature trails make it a perfect spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike. In addition to its architectural significance, Bom Jesus Do Monte invites visitors to reflect on its spiritual heritage, attracting pilgrims from around the globe. While in Braga, consider exploring other cultural landmarks, such as the Se de Braga (Braga Cathedral) and the historic city center, all showcasing the rich history and architectural artistry of this Portuguese gem.
