出産準備中にいちばん悩んだのが「哺乳瓶の消毒、いつから必要？いつまでやるの？」問題でした。結論から言うと、私は“産前に一度洗って消毒まで試しておく”のが安心でした。退院してすぐ授乳が始まると、初日からバタバタで「消毒忘れた…」が起きやすいんですよね。 ■ 出産前：哺乳瓶の消毒はいつやる？ 私の場合は、臨月に入って体調が落ち着いた日に、哺乳瓶を開封→洗浄→説明書を確認→消毒方法を1回リハーサルしました。パーツ（乳首・フード・キャップ等）が“電子レンジOK/NG”かは商品ごとに違うので、付属の説明書チェックは必須です。 ■ 煮沸消毒（鍋）やり方＆何分？（私のメモ） 鍋にたっぷり水を入れ、洗った哺乳瓶とパーツを沈めてから加熱。沸騰したら弱めの火で数分（目安は各メーカー表示）キープして取り出します。ポイントは、 ・哺乳瓶が鍋肌に当たらないようにする（劣化や変形予防） ・取り出し時の火傷対策にトング必須 ・熱湯後は清潔な場所でしっかり乾かす 「買い足し不要」で始めやすい反面、毎回の手間と安全面がネックでした。 ■ 薬液消毒（ミルトン等）のやり方：続けるコツ つけ置きで一気にできるのが本当に便利。私は“消毒バケツの置き場所”が意外と悩みどころでした。代用品として「ミルトン容器をダイソーで代用できる？」と探す人も多いですが、フタができて清潔に保てる・規定量の水が入る・赤ちゃんの口に触れる物を入れても安心な素材、の3点は最低ラインで確認した方が安心です。 ■ レンジ消毒と「レンジで煮沸消毒」は別物 混同しがちですが、基本は“専用ケースを使うレンジ消毒”が前提です（普通の器で熱湯をチンして煮沸…は安全面が不安）。短時間で匂いも少なくラクだけど、最近はメーカー側の注意喚起もあるので、対応可否は必ず確認しています。 ■ いつまで消毒する？（我が家の目安） 「いつまで」は家庭や赤ちゃんの状況で変わります。私は、低月齢のうちはしっかり消毒→離乳食が進み手洗いが安定してきたら徐々に頻度を下げる、という流れが気持ち的にラクでした。迷ったら、健診や小児科で聞くのもおすすめです。 最後に、消毒は“続けやすさ”がいちばん。鍋・薬液・レンジ・スチームのどれでも、生活動線と収納に合う方法を選ぶと後悔が減りました。
