Love this man of mine
Sometimes, when I think about love, I realize that not everyone expresses their feelings the same way. My husband, a hardworking blue-collar man, rarely writes sweet love notes, and honestly, reading and writing don't come easily to him. But that doesn't mean his love is any less genuine. In fact, his daily actions — from coming home tired after a long shift to making sure our family is taken care of — speak volumes about his care and affection. I've learned that love doesn't always need to be spoken or written. Sometimes, it's shown through effort, sacrifice, and presence. For people in blue-collar jobs, whose days are physically exhausting, expressing love in traditional romantic ways might not be their forte. Instead, their love is often practical but deeply meaningful. Understanding this has helped me appreciate our relationship even more. It’s a reminder that every person’s way of showing love is unique, and recognizing their efforts in their own language of love can strengthen your bond. If you find yourself missing those typical cutesy notes or verbal affirmations, try to look for the other signs of love in your partner’s behavior. It could be a small gesture, a thoughtful act, or the way they prioritize you despite their busy and tiring day. This perspective has made me cherish my husband’s love in a whole new light, and it might help others in similar relationships feel seen and appreciated as well.
