I passed my nursing entrance exam! 🥳
I’ve rescheduled this test so many times because I have severe test anxiety. This is the second state I’m completing my nursing prerequisites in because I moved twice and the requirements were different in all 3 states. Finally I was able to get in a good position to return to school!
I spent over a year as a CNA in a long-term care facility before getting a job as a Medical Assistant in GI. I worked there a long time before transferring to oncology. I loved my job there and I had just finished my prerequisites but then I moved to Hawaii. I took a break from school and tried to explore new avenues to see if healthcare was my true passion. I did a few jobs and ended up back in healthcare!
I’m now working as a float pool inpatient CNA and it’s been so nice working in so many different units! I have 2 months left before I can apply into the Fall nursing program and this was my last obstacle!! I’m so thankful to have passed. For my program, we needed to score at the national mean or above and I’m thankful to have made it the extra 11% 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Now to finish up my last 6 weeks of Microbiology and Anatomy for those last two A’s on my application!! 🫶🏻🥳

Preparing for the ATI TEAS pre-nursing exam can be an overwhelming experience, especially when battling test anxiety. Many students can relate to the journey of rescheduling the exam multiple times due to fear and pressure. Understanding that you are not alone in this struggle is essential. It's crucial to find effective study techniques that work for you, whether it's forming study groups, seeking guidance from mentors, or utilizing practice exams. Once you pass the TEAS exam, it's about maintaining momentum. With the nursing application process in sight, focus on completing your prerequisites like Microbiology and Anatomy, which are vital for nursing school. Remember to balance your study time with self-care practices to minimize anxiety. Deep breathing exercises, regular physical activity, and adequate sleep can significantly enhance your performance. Networking with fellow nursing students can provide both emotional support and insights into effective study habits. Engaging in online forums or social media groups often helps to foster motivation and reassurance during this challenging but exhilarating journey into nursing.
