Feeling tired does not always mean you need better fitness…👇
Sometimes you are simply spending too much energy too soon.
1️⃣ You start faster than your body is ready for
Give yourself time to settle into the run instead of fighting the pace from the beginning.
2️⃣ You tighten up when breathing gets harder
Relax your hands, drop your shoulders, and keep your arms smooth. Tension makes every step more expensive.
3️⃣ You reach farther when you get tired
Do the opposite. Think quick, light feet and let your stride stay underneath you.
The goal is not to make running effortless.
It is to make the effort cost less.
Start controlled.
Stay relaxed.
Run longer.

When I first started running, I used to get exhausted very quickly, assuming I just wasn’t fit enough. However, I realized that much of my fatigue was actually due to how I was running. One key lesson I learned is to avoid starting too fast; easing into your pace allows your body to warm up properly and saves energy for the later stages of your run. This controlled start helps prevent that burning-out feeling early on. Another important factor is staying relaxed, especially when breathing becomes challenging. I noticed I would clench my hands and tense my shoulders, which made each step feel heavier. By consciously relaxing my upper body and letting my arms move smoothly, I could conserve energy and run more efficiently. Also, when tired, I found myself overreaching with my strides, which only made running more strenuous. Instead, focusing on quick, light steps, keeping the stride beneath you, helps maintain a steady rhythm and reduces unnecessary energy expenditure. The goal isn’t to make running effortless but to reduce the effort it takes. Starting controlled, staying relaxed, and maintaining good form helped me run longer distances without feeling completely drained. Plus, combining these tips with a good running app to track progress and the right gear, like quality running socks and shoes, can improve comfort and motivation. Remember, every runner is different, so take the time to listen to your body, adjust your pace, and enjoy the process. Running like a girl means embracing your own rhythm and strength—keep at it, and you’ll see progress!
