I have done both the hike around the island and the horse carriage tour around the island, here are my tips! I have taken both a personal boat to island (thank you father in law) and the ferry. The ferry was only $15 and only took about 15 minutes. I suggest going to the one over the bridge but

Ahhhh, one of my favorite spots! The Watercolor Cafe on Mackinac Island. This adorable cafe serves coffee smoothies and food. Located right on the water and famously known for their Lilac Latte and art classes. This cafe is located right on the water behind the Bay View Of Mackinac accommodations.
