NEW Laneige Lip Glowy Balm🫐
Honest opinion: while I like the feel and aesthetic of this balm, it is not a must have for $19. I know this line has been around for awhile but I had not tried it until now and I’m just okay with it. For what it is, it is definitely pricey, though cute.
I’d say this one is completely up to the consumer; don’t let yourself be influenced into “needing” this.

After trying the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm for a while, I completely agree with the sentiment that it's not necessarily a 'must-have' for everyone, especially given its $19 price tag. Many of you, like me, might wonder: why is Laneige Lip Balm so expensive compared to other options on the market? While it offers a lovely aesthetic and comfortable feel, a significant portion of its cost often comes from brand recognition, marketing, and attractive packaging rather than solely from revolutionary ingredients. For some, the luxurious feel and 'treat yourself' factor fully justify the expense, but for others primarily seeking deep hydration or repair, there might be more budget-friendly alternatives that deliver similar results. If you're on the fence about the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm, particularly the popular Berry shade, you might be curious how it stacks up against other cult favorites. I’ve also indulged in the frequently compared Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm. While both provide a desirable sheen, I personally find Summer Fridays a touch thicker and potentially more intensive for very dry lips, whereas the Laneige offers a lighter, less sticky texture. Another common question I see is about Laneige Glaze Craze vs. Glowy Balm. From my experience, the Glaze Craze leans more towards a high-shine, often plumping, glossy finish, while the Glowy Balm is positioned as more of an everyday hydrator with a subtle tint. Your choice really boils down to your preference: do you want an ultra-glossy glaze or a more understated, natural glow? Beyond the original Berry, there are other tempting variations like the refreshing Blue Lemonade Laneige Lip Glowy Balm. These flavored balms certainly add a fun, sensory dimension that can make a product feel more special, even if the core hydrating function remains consistent across the line. I've even heard whispers about a 'glitter' version; if you enjoy a bit more sparkle, that could be a playful choice for specific occasions. It’s important to remember that with beauty content flooding platforms like TikTok, it’s easy to get swept up in what’s predicted to be the next 'lip balm trend 2025.' The Laneige Lip Glowy Balm definitely fits the current demand for plump, hydrated, and subtly tinted lips, giving that coveted 'my lips but better' look without being overly heavy. However, trends are fleeting. What truly matters is finding a lip balm that genuinely works for your unique lip needs and makes you feel confident, irrespective of its popularity or price. If you’re battling extreme dryness, you might need a richer, more intensive treatment. But if you’re after a daily pick-me-up with a pretty sheen, this could still be a good fit, just consider if the cost aligns with your expectations for regular use. Don't feel pressured by the hype; explore what truly gives you radiant, hydrated lips!
