Perfect Fall Perfume
Powdery Tobacco from Dossier is my Fall 2024 signature scent! I don’t typically go for anything called “powdery” because they’re often too clean for me. However, I don’t find this to be very powdery in scent. It has an airiness to it that was unexpected but I love! It’s sweet and fresh in the opening and settles into something very moody and spicy which I love!
It’s also SO long lasting, like a morning spritz lasts all day. I use a fragrance free lotion or sometimes a very light vanilla lotion to make this stick even longer. 10/10 recommend, especially if you like something sweet, but want to jazz it up a little bit.

Building on my love for Dossier's Powdery Tobacco, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why this fragrance has truly captured my heart as the ultimate fall signature scent. What initially drew me in was the intrigue of the name itself – 'Powdery Tobacco.' As I mentioned, I usually steer clear of anything overtly powdery, but this blend is different. It’s not your grandmother's powder; it's a sophisticated whisper of warmth that perfectly balances the rich, earthy tobacco notes. Let's talk about the specific notes that make this perfume so captivating, as detailed on the bottle itself and in Dossier's description. The prominent tobacco is beautifully complemented by a spicy kick of ginger and the sweet, fruity warmth of apricot and honey. As it settles, you uncover the creamy indulgence of vanilla and cocoa, grounded by the deep, inviting presence of tonka bean, dry fruits, and blond woods. This intricate layering truly creates a scent journey, starting fresh and evolving into something deeply moody and absolutely intoxicating. It's this complexity that makes it stand out from other tobacco vanilla colognes I've tried. Many of you might be wondering about its inspiration, and yes, this Dossier fragrance is wonderfully crafted to evoke the essence of a very famous high-end tobacco vanilla scent, specifically inspired by Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. Knowing this makes the quality even more impressive, especially given Dossier's philosophy of offering 'ICONIC SCENTS. DESIGNER QUALITY. NO MARKUPS.' You truly get that luxurious feel without the hefty price tag. It’s an incredible dupe that holds its own, providing that rich, opulent aroma perfect for cooler weather. The bottle itself, while minimalist, feels substantial and elegant, a perfect reflection of the sophisticated juice inside. I appreciate how Dossier clearly lists the notes on the label – it’s a refreshing touch for fragrance enthusiasts who love to know what they're wearing. And as for longevity, I can't stress enough how well this wears. A morning spritz will genuinely last through your workday and into the evening, making it incredibly economical. For an added boost, I layer it with a fragrance-free body lotion or a subtle vanilla one, which truly makes the tobacco and vanilla notes sing and extends its presence even further. If you're on the hunt for a fragrance that offers warmth, spice, and a touch of gourmand sweetness without being cloying, and you appreciate the nuances of tobacco-infused scents, then Dossier's Powdery Tobacco is an absolute must-try. It's more than just a perfume; it's an experience that wraps you in comfort and sophistication, making every fall day feel a little more special.
