Sephora Lip Kit Review
I often do a lot of research before I buy these kits because I think that they are sometimes overpriced or the value is over estimated for what you’re actually paying for. However, I think this one is worth the $54 if you want at least 2 of the full sizes included. The minis, while not always the best value, are really cute and are currently perfect for me because I will be traveling soon.
I wanted the Glossier and Makeup by Mario products which together are almost $54. The rest of the bag is bonus which I love! I get to test some things out.
Overall I think this was worth it for me, but please research and find if it’s right for you before buying!

Okay, so like many of you, I've often stood in Sephora (or endlessly scrolled online) wondering: should I splurge on that tempting lip kit, or just stick to buying the individual lip products I know and love? It's a real dilemma, especially when you see those amazing 'Sephora lippies bags' pop up during sales! I used to always gravitate towards individual items because I felt like I had more control, but after trying a few kits like the one I just reviewed, my perspective has totally shifted. Let's break down the big question: how does a lip set differ from buying individual lip products? The Allure of the Lip Kit (or 'Sephora Lippie Bag'): Value for Money (Sometimes!): This is the biggest draw. Often, a kit offers a collection of products at a price lower than if you bought each item separately. It's like a mini beauty investment for less. The trick is making sure you'll actually use most of what's inside. Discovery & Experimentation: Kits are fantastic for trying out new brands, formulas, or shades without committing to a full-size purchase of every single item. You might discover your next holy grail lip liner or a liquid lip color you never thought you'd love! Travel-Friendly Minis: As I mentioned in my review, those mini glosses and lipsticks are a lifesaver for travel. They take up less space and are perfect for touch-ups on the go without lugging around full-sized tubes. Curated Collections: Sometimes, kits are themed or curated by experts, offering a cohesive look or a selection of best-sellers. It takes the guesswork out of building a collection. The Freedom of Individual Lip Products: Precision & Personalization: When you buy individually, you get exactly what you want. That perfect shade of lip gloss, your go-to long-wearing liquid lip color, or that specific lip liner that completes your look – no compromises. Budget Control: You can buy one item at a time, spreading out your beauty spending. This is great if you have a tight budget or just need to replace a single staple. No Filler: You avoid getting products you won't use. Every purchase is intentional and contributes to your ideal makeup bag. So, how do you decide which way to go when eyeing those Sephora lippies? My personal rule is this: if a 'Sephora lippies bag' has at least two or three items I genuinely want or am super curious about trying, then it's usually worth considering the kit. For example, in my recent kit, I really wanted the Glossier and Makeup by Mario products, which almost covered the cost of the whole set. The other items were just a bonus! If there's only one item you're interested in, it's probably better to buy that one individually. Always do a quick calculation: what's the cost per item in the kit versus buying them separately? And check reviews (like mine!) to see if others found the value to be there. Maximizing Your Sephora Lippie Hauls: Keep an eye out for Sephora's major sales events, like their spring and fall VIB/Rouge sales, or holiday promotions. This is often when the best lip kits, including those featuring popular lip liners, glosses, and liquid lip colors, drop or become even more discounted. Utilizing points or gift cards can also make those lippies feel like an even better deal. Ultimately, whether a Sephora lip kit is for you really depends on your current needs and what you're looking to add to your collection. But don't be afraid to try a kit – you might just find your new favorite lippie!
