Learning to love myself <3

I was always chunky growing up! I use to hate it! My stomach was the biggest issue. I hated the number on the scale, going and trying in clothes, sitting in desks at school, and so much more. Going up stairs or hiking made me out of breath and easily hostile to my family because it was embarrassing to me. It seemed like I was always the biggest one in class. I was so insecure and unhappy about myself. In high school I went about a year with barely eating, like I’d eat one snack a day and pretend like I ate dinner, I made myself excessively exercise. My self image got a little better when I first went into college, but it wasn’t perfect. I took a couple classes in WGST and that’s where I declared my minor as WGST. In those courses I learned a lot, especially about different bodies, genetics, and so much more. I had this one professor who literally changed my life. That’s when I learned that I should love and cherish this body I have. That she does all that she can to keep me alive and well. That my weight loss journey shouldn’t be about the number and being skinny, but keeping myself healthy. Don’t get me wrong I still have some moments of self hate but im learning to accept myself and this body.
