about me...
This will be my second post on here! I'm seeing a lot of love in the small community that's started to develop on this app. I hope we can keep it up.
Here's some info on me:
1.) I am an aspiring mortician. I hope that within the next year or two that I'm back in school again. I really enjoy learning things.
2.) I'm a practicing Pagan and have been for nearly a decade.
3.) Cosplaying is one of my favorite hobbies. I go to the Renaissance Fair every year to share that sentiment with fellow nerds.
4.) As obvious as I've made it, Skyrim is one of my favorite games OAT. But I also enjoy other similar games, such as Baldur's Gate and the Dark Souls series.
5.) I have a wonderful husband who I've had the privilege of loving for seven years now. We're highschool sweethearts!
6.) I've been in the alternative scene for a decade plus now. I love all things related to Alternative fashion, even if it's not something I would personally wear. Right now, my favorite styles are Whimsigoth and 90's Grunge.
It's been so wonderful connecting with this little community here on Lemon8! My first post felt like a small introduction, but I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the passions that truly define me and hopefully inspire you to share yours too. My journey towards becoming a mortician might sound a bit unconventional, but it stems from a profound respect for life's final chapter and a desire to provide comfort and dignity. It's a field that combines science, compassion, and a unique form of artistry. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning to school to pursue this calling, always believing that learning is a lifelong adventure. For nearly a decade, I've walked a practicing Pagan path. It's a deeply personal spiritual journey, often misunderstood, but for me, it's about connecting with nature, respecting cycles, and finding inner peace. It influences how I view the world and brings a rich, meaningful dimension to my daily life. Perhaps that connection to ancient wisdom is also why I’m drawn to certain aesthetics, like that cross necklace you might spot me wearing – sometimes symbols hold unexpected layers of meaning, even if just for personal style. Cosplaying is another huge part of my world. There’s something truly magical about bringing a beloved character to life, whether it’s at a local convention or the annual Renaissance Faire. The sheer joy of sharing that enthusiasm with fellow 'nerds' is incredible. It’s not just about the costume; it’s about the craftsmanship, the storytelling, and the vibrant community that celebrates imagination. If you've ever thought about trying it, I highly recommend finding a character you love and just going for it – the community is incredibly welcoming! And speaking of nerds, my love for gaming runs deep. From the expansive open worlds of Skyrim and Baldur's Gate, where every decision feels epic, to the challenging, rewarding combat of the Dark Souls series, these games are more than just entertainment. They're immersive stories, problem-solving puzzles, and often, incredible works of art. My gaming space, sometimes bathed in the glow of a pink neon light, is definitely a sanctuary where I can unwind and explore different realities. The alternative scene has been my second home for over ten years. It’s a dynamic world of self-expression, particularly through fashion. I adore exploring styles like Whimsigoth, with its mystical, ethereal vibes, and the raw, authentic edge of '90s Grunge. Think vintage finds, flowing fabrics mixed with chunky boots, and an appreciation for bands like Gorillaz (their 'Demon Days' poster is iconic!) or the energy of a live music venue. It's about expressing who you are, unapologetically. It’s amazing how all these different facets of my life blend together to create my unique story. And having a wonderful partner, my high school sweetheart, who supports all these passions makes the journey even more special. I hope sharing these personal insights helps you feel a little more connected to me on Lemon8, and I can't wait to see what you're passionate about too!
