Looking

Why is it so hard to make friends in your 20’s? My only friends are my coworkers which are either still in high school in college and have so many other friends it’s like I don’t exist. Or my amazing girlfriend of 6 years (but that’s not the same.)

Is it just me? I would love to make new strong friendships! (Probably gonna need some bridesmaids soon🤫) I’m kinda a homebody, mostly because I don’t drive and not much to do in walking distance. I love all things books, looking at book recs, book shopping, and of course reading. (But I’m in a bit of a slump rn) I love to game mostly cozy. I’m not a fan of violent games. 😣 I play on switch and Xbox and some board games.

I’m kinda Disney obsessed! I have seen most of the movies (not one for Star Wars) love planing dream trips that will happen someday when I’m not broke 😂 tangle is my comfort movie I’ve watched it 10000 times.

Have any of these in common? 🤔 Let’s be friends! 🌈

... Read moreMaking friends in your 20s can often feel challenging, especially as life circumstances change. Many young adults find themselves transitioning from school to a professional environment, which can create barriers to forming new friendships. Common interests can serve as bridges to connect with others. For instance, joining book clubs can introduce you to fellow readers who share your passion. Alternatively, participating in gaming communities, whether on platforms like Xbox or Nintendo Switch, can lead to formidable friendships with like-minded gamers. Living in a digital age, platforms like Lemon8 provide opportunities for individuals seeking connections around specific interests, such as being a Disney fan or loving literature. Engaging with users from these communities can foster connections that flourish into friendships, regardless of local circumstances. Don't underestimate the power of hobbies; they invite opportunities for interaction and shared experiences. Another great way to combat loneliness during this phase is to actively reach out via social media groups or forums that cater to your interests. For example, hashtags like #lesbianfriends and #letsbefriends can help you connect with others looking for similar relationships. Share your passions openly and don't hesitate to start conversations. Establishing friendships takes time, but by being proactive and participating in communities that resonate with you, the potential to connect with others in meaningful ways increases significantly.

You should be looking for internships NOW!
Something I learned too late in college is that competitive summer internship programs at large, desirable companies often get posted in the fall, around 8 months prior to the summer you wish to intern! This is SO important because, if you’re not prepared, you risk not being able to land that in

have you been looking for a film camera?! 📷✨
nothing quite hits like actual film photos. maybe it’s the fact that you have to take the photo and be okay with whatever outcome you get (vs digital being tempted to shoot until it’s perfect,) or maybe it’s the nostalgic true natural grain? whatever the reason, film is magical and i know i was conf

A Barnes & Noble bag filled with books on a car seat, with text overlays "Spicy books with innocent LOOKING BOOK COVERS" and "SO MANY BOOKS...". Chili pepper and heart emojis are also present, setting the theme for books with deceptive covers.

Spicy books with innocent looking covers
Honorable mention is the Chestnut Spring series! There are some deceiving book covers out there that look innocent but are very spicy. What is the spiciest book you have read with a cute, innocent cover??? #currentlyreading #credence #lemon8bookclub #lemon8bookchallange #spicybooks
