my favorite health and wellness activities!
1) pilates! 🩰 pilates is a great low impact way to move your body. I average 3-5 classes a week. Not only is it a great workout it also encourages me to take time to slow down, focus on my breathing and stay in tune with my body.
2) matcha! 🍵 or visiting/trying new coffee shops. I loveeee matcha, lately i’ve been on a lavender matcha with almond milk kick. So good and doesn’t leave me hyped up on caffeine afterwards. I love sitting at a coffee shop and working on school or social media with a cute little beverage.
3) get outside! 🌸 bike riding, walking, running, swimming…basically anything that gets you outside in the fresh air does wonders for not only your physical health but your mental health. I love bike riding with my friends in the city or going on long walks with my dogs!
4) reading & having slow mornings. 📖 Reading is my favorite summer activity. Every year I sign up for my local library’s adult reading challenge. Pair a good book with a slow paced morning and you’re good to go! These mornings force you to take a step back from your busy daily life and relax and be with yourself, take this time to really check in with yourself. How are you feeling today?
5) skincare! 🧖♀️ i’ve been on a skincare journey for the past couple of months, i’ve always struggled with my skin and i’ve been really trying to find good products to use on my skin. i’ve also started getting facials which have been so helpful and very relaxing. these are expensive so I try to do 2 or 1 every month. focus on finding products that serve your skin type not overly hyped ones on tiktok.
6) visiting museums! 🏛️ there are tons of museums, art installations, and interactive activities in the city! I love going to the met, natural history museum… and getting to learn about history or seeing important artifacts.
7) healthy foods 🍓when you eat healthy you feel healthy! believe me I still struggle to continuously eat healthy everyday. if you’re in the same boat, try meal prepping every sunday it seriously helps!
