Surviving College in NYC 101

Going to college in NYC has been both the best and the hardest experience of my life. I’ve always loved this city and dreamed of living here while attending fashion school in Manhattan. Now that I’m here, I have no regrets. The city has a magic to it, and the energy is absolutely addictive.

That said, living in New York comes with its own set of challenges. Everything is more expensive, and even the simplest daily tasks feel more complicated. On top of the mountain of student debt I’m in, finding a job here has been incredibly difficult, and my bank account is dangerously in the red. Homesickness hits hard sometimes, and the constant fear of missing out (FOMO) can be overwhelming.

Nevertheless, this experience is shaping me in ways I never expected. I’m learning to navigate life in one of the most fast-paced, iconic cities in the world. It’s tough, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. #nyclife #collegelife #fashionstudent #lemon8partner #lemon8college
