I’ve gained 90 pounds in the last 3 years let’s talk about how I’m changing it
The last 3 years have been HARD. My husband and I have walked through the heartbreak of infertility, loss, and multiple miscarriages. There were many tears, many prayers, and many moments I didn’t understand. It has been one of the heaviest seasons of my life.
In the middle of that pain, food became my comfort. When I was happy, I ate. When I was sad, I binged. I tried to fill hurting places with temporary things instead of bringing them to God. But food never healed me—it only kept me stuck.
Now things are changing. God has been reminding me that true comfort is found in Him. He is my strength, my peace, and the One who restores what feels broken.
So I’m surrendering this journey to God. I’m choosing discipline over destruction, healing over hiding, and movement over staying stuck. I’m choosing to honor the body God gave me, care for my mental health, and trust Him through every step.
This is more than a weight loss journey. This is a healing journey—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The enemy thought this season would break me, but God is using it to rebuild me. ✨🙏

Throughout my own journey, I’ve come to realize that addressing weight gain linked to emotional struggles requires more than just physical changes. It’s been essential for me to recognize the emotional triggers that led to using food as comfort, such as grief and unresolved pain. Incorporating mindfulness and spiritual practices has made a significant difference. For example, pausing before eating to reflect on whether I’m truly hungry or seeking emotional relief helps break the cycle of binge eating. Exercise also transformed from a punishment into a form of self-care and gratitude for my body. Gentle movement like walking or stretching became moments of prayer and meditation, allowing me to reconnect with my strength. Seeking support from faith communities and mental health professionals gave me tools to cope emotionally and spiritually, which bolstered my commitment to healthier habits. Most importantly, embracing a mindset of grace and patience helped me move away from self-criticism. Healing is not linear—it involves setbacks and small victories. By surrendering my struggles to God and choosing discipline grounded in love, I am slowly rebuilding not just my body but my whole self. This holistic approach made my journey sustainable and deeply meaningful, offering hope to anyone facing similar challenges.
