Morning routine ☀️
As a graduate student who commutes from home, I’ve found that having a structured morning routine is essential to manage time effectively and reduce stress. My day typically starts at 7:15am, giving me just enough time to prepare myself, have a healthy breakfast, and organize my materials before leaving at 8am. One thing I’ve learned is to prioritize wake-up time to avoid rushing. Setting a consistent wake-up alarm helped me stay disciplined. I also prepare my clothes and packed meals the night before to save precious minutes in the morning. Including a few minutes for mindfulness or light stretching really boosts my focus and energy levels for the day ahead. Additionally, commuting from home means I need to factor in extra time for unexpected delays. Therefore, I keep my travel essentials like headphones, chargers, and ID cards in a dedicated bag that’s ready to grab in the morning. Sharing my experience, small adjustments like these can make the morning less hectic and more productive, especially when balancing graduate school demands and commute time.
