RATING THE WISCONSIN STATE FAIR FOODS I TRIED!

Went to the Wisconsin State Fair and of course had to try a ton of fun foods!! 🎡🎢🎟️

Birria Bombs: 10/10!! These were so good! The sauce it came with tasted amazing with the bombs. Would get these again!

Mini Churros: 7/10. Just okay! Got these from the same booth as the Birria Bombs, I would not purchase these again. A little too crunchy for my liking.

Cotton Candy Dirty Soda: 9/10! I’ve never tried a dirty soda, but I am a sucker for all things cotton candy! This was the perfect amount of sweet! Would purchase again.

The “Dirty Dog”: 9/10. This was so yummy! It’s a burnt end sausage/hot dog topped with chili & cheese on a pretzel bun. Messy to eat but so tasty! Would purchase again (with more napkins lol).

Candied Bacon Cheese Curds: 10/10!!!!! I had low hopes for these once I saw what they looked like (they look a little soggy) but after tasting them… so so so good. Perfect amount of sweetness mixed with the cheese curd itself! Great with ranch but tasty by themselves too. Would purchase again!!!!

Monster Cookie Dough on a Stick: 6.5/10. Just meh. Wanted a sweet treat, wouldn’t get this flavor again.

Oreo Cookie Dough on a Stick: 8/10. Super yummy, the cookie dough was dipped in a chocolate sauce then topped with Oreo crumbles. Would get again.

Overall, I enjoyed trying tons of fun new foods at the Wisconsin State Fair! I highly suggest trying the Birria Bombs if you are going to the State Fair- they’re so worth the long line!

... Read moreVisiting the Wisconsin State Fair is an exciting adventure for any food lover because the variety of unique and indulgent treats is truly unparalleled. From my personal experience, the highlight of the fair for me was definitely the Birria Bombs. Their rich, savory flavor perfectly paired with the accompanying sauce created a mouthwatering snack that lived up to all the hype—it’s worth the wait in line! If you’re like me and love trying new drink trends, you should absolutely give the Cotton Candy Dirty Soda a shot. Dirty sodas combine different syrups and cream sodas to create surprisingly refreshing beverages, and with the added cotton candy flavor, it was a fun, sweet twist that wasn’t overly sugary. This drink was a delightful refresher in between heavier fried foods. One surprising favorite was the Candied Bacon Cheese Curds. At first glance, they didn’t look too appetizing, but once you bite into the crispy, sweet glazed bacon with the salty cheese curds, you get this lovely balance of flavor and texture that is so satisfying. I highly recommend ordering them with ranch dressing, but honestly, they’re pretty addictive on their own. On the savory side, the "Dirty Dog," which is a burnt end sausage or hot dog on a pretzel bun with chili and cheese, captured that classic fair food messiness in the best way. While it can get messy, having plenty of napkins on hand helps, and the flavor combination is deliciously hearty and comforting. For those wanting something sweet but not overwhelming, Oreo Cookie Dough on a Stick was a sweet treat I enjoyed. The cookie dough dipped in chocolate sauce and topped with Oreo crumbles provided a nostalgic flavor with a modern presentation. It wasn’t as spectacular as the Birria Bombs or cheese curds but worth trying if you love cookie dough. On the flip side, the Mini Churros and Monster Cookie Dough on a Stick were less impressive. The churros were a bit too crunchy for my preference, and the monster cookie dough didn’t quite hit the mark on flavor. That said, the fair has plenty to offer, so it’s all about personal taste. In summary, the Wisconsin State Fair is packed with exciting, creative foods that can satisfy all kinds of cravings. My advice? Don’t miss the Birria Bombs and Candied Bacon Cheese Curds—they stand out as must-have experiences. Come hungry and be ready to explore new flavors; the fair truly has something special for every food enthusiast.
