How to Clean & Dry Your Makeup Brushes!

We all know that satisfying feeling of a fresh makeup look, but what about the tools we use to create it? Keeping your makeup brushes sparkling clean is crucial, not just for flawless application, but also for your skin's health. Trust me, I used to dread the chore of cleaning my dirty makeup brushes, but over time, I've picked up some tricks that make it much less of a hassle – even if you don't have a fancy cleaner! Another great method is using a brush drying rack that hangs them upside down; this prevents water from seeping into the ferrule and loosening the glue, keeping your brushes from getting damaged over time. Avoid drying them upright, as water can pool and cause issues. You want them to be 'already dry' and completely free of moisture before their next use. I try to deep clean my foundation and concealer brushes weekly, as they come into direct contact with my skin and liquid products. Eyeshadow brushes can often go a bit longer, maybe every two weeks, or I'll use a quick spot cleaner between uses.
